Hatton House or Haltoun House, The Seat of Mr James McKelvie

An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated September 16th 1911 featuring a main article on Hatton House (Haltoun House), Midlothian in Scotland, The Seat of Mr. James Mckelvie. After a fire in the early 1950's Hatton House was later demolished in 1955. This issue contains a nine page write up with black and white illustrations of the house exterior, grounds and a plan of the ground floor. The issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Lady Marjorie Cochrane.
