Burton Park, Duncton, The Seat of Major J. S. Courtauld, M.P

Country Life magazine dated July 11th 1936 featuring a main article on Burton Park in West Sussex, The Seat of Major J. S. Courtauld, M.P and previously the home of the Goring and Biddulph Families. This rare issue contains a six page write up on the history of the house by Christopher Hussey and includes black and white photograph illustrations of the house exterior, gardens and parkland, the interior including The Drawing Room, The Grecian Hall and the Bronze Staircase brought from Michelgrove, etc. This magazine is in very good condition with a portrait frontispiece of Miss Jane McBryde.
