An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated December 20th 1924 featuring a main article on Encombe House (Part 1) in Kent, a modernist house designed by the architect and designer Mr Basil Ionides for Mr H. R. Philipson in 1922. This issue features a comprehensive eight page write up on the house at Sandgate with black and white photograph illustrations of the property, exterior and gardens. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Lady Patricia Blackwood. Rare.
