High and Over, the Residence of Prof. Bernard Ashmole

An original early issue of Country Life magazine dated September 19th 1931 featuring a main article on High and Over at Amersham in Buckinghamshire. The Residence of Professor Bernard Ashmole. A modernist house designed on an original plan by Mr Amyas Connell. Containing a six page comprehensive write up with black and white photograph illustrations of the house exterior, interior, furnishings and a plan of the ground, first and second floors. This issue is in very good condition with a portrait frontispiece of the Earl of Rosebery leading Sandwich, the winner of the St. Leger. Rare.
