An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated December 18th 1897 featuring a main article on Claremont House in Surrey. Three page write up with black and white photograph illustrations of the house designed by Henry Holland and gardens by Capability Brown. Country Life magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues are a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and historians. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was over 100 years ago. This issue is in good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of the Hon Kathleen De Montmorency.
