The Hoo, Willingdon, and its Enlargement by Mr. E. L. Lutyens

Country Life magazine dated May 10th 1913 featuring an article on The Hoo, Willingdon in Sussex, and its enlargement by Mr. E. L. Lutyens. 'the Lesser Country Houses of Today', Mr. Edwin Lutyens enlarged and remodelled the house for Alexander Wedderburn in 1902, Mr. Lutyens' task was not to create a new house but to build around the old one. This issue has a three page write up on the work of Lutyens with images of the house exterior, garden, a plan of the ground floor, etc. This magazine is in very good condition with a portrait frontispiece of Miss Marigold Forbes.
