Linden Hall, Longhorsley

Original antique pencil drawing of Linden Hall in Northumberland  from a collection of drawn by Charles Greenwood and Frederick Peake, produced between 1840-1850. A distant view of the house with trees and livestock in the foreground. Pencil, heightened with white watercolour. Titled Linden, Northumberland. Good condition (see image). Size 31 x 22cm.  

Linden Hall was built in 1813 by Sir Charles Monck and newly qualified architect John Dobson for the Newcastle banker Charles William Bigge. The Hall is Grade II listed.
