Country Life magazine dated September 25th 1942 featuring a main article on The manor House, Charney Bassett in Berkshire (Part 1). The Home of Mrs Paul Waterhouse. One of the oldest inhabited country houses in England, Built Ca. 1260. This issue contains a four page write up by Christopher Hussey with black and white photograph illustrations of the manor house, church, monk's chapel and interiors. The magazine is in good condition with a portrait frontispiece of Lady Katherine Phillips.
