An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated August 25th 1923 featuring a main article on Clifton Hall in Nottinghamshire. A nine page write up with black and white illustrations of the property exterior remodelled by Carr of York and interior details including the painted room, Ca. 1632, plasterwork by Dugdale and John Smithson's drawings for stables and banquetting house. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of The Late Lord Sterndale, P.C.
