Cold Overton Hall, The Seat of Mr James Montagu

Complete original issue of Country Life magazine dated March 15th 1930 featuring a main illustrated article on Cold Overton Hall in Leicestershire, the Seat of Mr James Montagu (a stone manor built by a St. John circa. 1630-1640). A seven page article with illustrations of the exterior, interior rooms including furnishings, decoration, chimneypieces, plasterwork and panelling.  Also featuring an article titled 'the Lesser Country Houses of Today, Ilmington Manor near Shipton-on-Stour in Warwickshire. A two page write up including black and white illustrations of the gardens, exterior and interior of the house. This magazine is in very good condition complete with adverts and with a portrait frontispiece of The Burke Family (from a painting by John Zoffany). Rare.
