Devonshire House, The Seat of His Grace the Duke of Devonshire

An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated August 22nd 1914 featuring a main article on Devonshire House in Piccadilly in London. Issue containing a six page comprehensive write up on the fine Palladian style house designed by William Kent for the Duke of Devonshire, Ca 1740. Illustrated with black and white photographs of the interior, including the Saloon, Wyatt's Staircase, The Ballroom, Dining Room and plans and elevations of the house. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Princess Arthur of Connaught.
