Farleigh House, Farleigh Wallop (Part 1), The Home of Viscount Lymington

Country Life magazine for September 12th 1941 featuring a main article on Farleigh House at Farleigh Wallop (Part 1) in Hampshire. Built in 1731 by the Earl of Portsmouth with more recent additions by Mr H. Goodhart Rendel. This issue has a four page write up on the history and design of the house including black and white photographic illustrations of the exterior, gardens, interior, furnishings and paintings.  The magazine is complete with adverts, in good condition with a portrait frontispiece of Petty Officer The Hon. Ann Forbes-Sempill, W.R.N.S. A rare war-time issue.
