Melchet Court, Romsey, The Seat of Lord Melchet

An original issue of Country Life magazine dated August 9th 1930 featuring a main article on Melchet Court in Hampshire, the Seat of Lord Melchet (a victorian house built in the elizabethan style with interiors by Alfred Stevens and L. W. Collman, with examples of fine modern sculptures decorating the gardens by Carl Milles and Mr C. S. Jaggers). With a seven page write up containing black and white photograph illustrations of the property, gardens, sculptures, grounds and interior of the house. This issue is in good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Miss Joan Verney.
