Sissinghurst Castle, The Gardens by Vita Sackville-West. Autumn Farming Number

A very rare complete war-time issue of Country Life magazine with full covers and adverts being 'The Autumn Farming Number' dated September 11th 1942 with a main feature on The gardens at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent written by Vita Sackville-West. A four page article including black and white photograph illustrations of Sissinghurst castle and the gardens with descriptions by V. Sackville West. Also containing a poem 'Sissinghurst' by Vita first published in 1931. This magazine is in good condition (centre pages becoming slightly loose). The portrait frontispiece is of Mrs Gerald Lathbury. Rare.
