Torre Di Materita, The Residence of Dr. Axel Munthe

An original issue of Country Life magazine dated December 23rd 1933 featuring a main article on 'A Castle of Capri' Torre Di Materita in Capri, Italy, The Property of Dr. Axel Munthe, built in 1379 by Carthusian monks against pirates. With a five page write up with black and white illustrations of the Villa interior, decor and exterior. This magazine is in very good condition with a portrait frontispiece of Gainsborough's portrait of The Countess of Sefton.
