Wilton House, the Seat of the Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery
Original rare early issue of Country Life magazine dated September 10th 1898 featuring a main article on Wilton House, Salisbury in Wiltshire, altered and designed by Inigo Jones in a Palladian style in 1630. A four page write up with black and white photograph illustrations of the house and gardens (exterior, the Italian garden, fountains and statuary). This issue is in good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of The Queen of Holland.
