An original issue of Country Life magazine dated August 7th 1942 featuring Carrygate in Leicestershire. The Home of Mr C. R. Keene, designed by the architect Mr Raymond McGrath. The issue contains a four page write up on the modern house of contemporary design using Elizabethan bricks and Elm weatherboarding. Many black and white photograph illustrations taken by Mr F. L. Attenborough showing the exterior, the interior, furnishings, and decor, a ground floor plan, and first floor plan. The magazine is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of H.S.H. Princess Romanovsky Pavlovsky. Rare.
