Dawpool, Thurstaston, The Residence of Sir Herbert Roberts, Bt. M.P
Original issue of Country Life magazine dated February 18th 1911 featuring a main article on Dawpool at Thurstaston in Cheshire, the residence of Sir Herbert Roberts, Bt, M.P. A Tudor style house designed by the Architect Richard Norman Shaw for Thomas Henry Ismay between 1882 and 1886. Contains a six page write up with black and white photograph illustrations of the house, (exterior and interior). An important record of one of Norman Shaw's finest works. Dawpool was demolished in 1927. This issue is in very good condition with a portrait frontispiece of The Countess Fitzwilliam.
