Original pencil drawing on paper of Mitford Hall in Northumberland (at distant view), from a collection of drawings by Charles J Greenwood and Frederick Peake produced between 1840-1850. Inscribed 'Mitford Hall, Mrs Mitford, Northumberland'. A distant view of the hall with bridge, church and castle ruins in the foreground. Pencil, heightened with white water colour wash. A small hole in paper in sky area otherwise good condition (see images). Size 31 x 22cm. Mitford Hall was built in 1828 by the Mitford family, designed by the architect John Dobson. Rare.
