An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated August 9th 1919 featuring a main article on Eltham Lodge (Part 1) listed in the county of Kent at the time of publication, now falling under the Borough of London. Built for Sir John Shaw by the architect Hugh May. Contains an eight page write up with black and white illustrations of the Eltham Lodge interior and exterior now occupied by The Royal Blackheath Golf Club. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of The Hon. Ursula Bathurst. Rare.
