An original very early issue of Country Life magazine dated December 7th 1907 featuring a main article on Petworth in Sussex, a ten page write up with many black and white illustrations of the interior of Petworth House including the fine portrait paintings of the Gibbons room. Country Life magazine commenced publication in 1897 and the early issues have become a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and historians, they hold an important historical record of the properties featured at the time of publication. This issue is in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Lady Beatrice Pole-Carew and her Children.
