Trentham Hall, The Seat of The Duke of Sutherland

A large double page antique print illustrating Trentham Hall in Staffordshire, The Seat of the Suke of Sutherland. With two vignette illustrations of the grounds. From the Illustrated London News. Drawn and signed G. Montbard. Dated January 9th 1897. Excellent condition with centre fold as issued. A large, impressive and understated rare series from The Illustrated London News by George Montbard. Size approx 58x40cm.

In 1912-1913 the Hall was demolished, however the gardens and the ornamental park with its lakes have been preserved, today the main entrance, the orangery, the clock tower and the sculpture gallery still remain and are currently Grade II listed.
